  1. 2023

    The Sentinel launches as The DG Sentinel

    A blog site for mentors and community members of Dweebs Global, a mentorship nonprofit. We started with editorial content only: stories about the human experience from around the world that are begging to be told.

    2024

    The Sentinel rebrands as Yuvoice

    Which later launches in December 2024 as a separate company, the Yuvoice social media platform that rewards users for tangible impact through verified actions and community engagement.

  3. 2025

    The Sentinel grows to a large community journalism organization

    Expanding our reach and impact, we continue building the largest citizen journalism force in the world, publishing real voices living through history across 50+ countries.

    Isvari Maranwe is a Silicon Valley born-and-raised tech leader, policy analyst, and lawyer, who has represented the U.S. government in Washington, D.C. and now lives in London. She is the CEO of The Sentinel by Yuvoice, building the largest citizen journalism force in the world.

    Nana Frimpong serves as Chief Operating Officer of The Sentinel by Yuvoice, where he leads operations, strategy execution, and fundraising for the volunteer-driven news organization. He brings extensive experience in business and public sector consulting, and global operations leadership, with a focus on building scalable systems that support mission-driven work.

  3. Rachelle Trotman

    Rachelle Trotman is an artificial intelligence expert and global business development leader. She is the CTO of The Sentinel by Yuvoice, building the largest citizen journalism force in the world. She supports design, development, strategy, and more and she is the brain behind the Sentinel website.

She also represents the Sentinel's interests on the Yuvoice platform.
